Skype is perhaps one of the cheapest phone VOIP system available to make calls worldwide for low as $0.017 per minute. Calling the USA from other places in the world is just over one cent per minute.
In addition to being cheap, the skype quality is exceptionally good. Sometimes even better than the old landline telephone system we know about.
How does skype work? All you need to do is go to Skype.com and download the skype software and install it on your computer. Then purchase a $10.00 shype out credit to enable phone to phone calls. You will need a headphone or you can do like me, and buy a USB Phone that stores your personal information in it. You can then plug this usb phone into any usb port on any computer anywhere where internet service is available and you ready to make calls to anywhere in the world.
Note skype to skype is FREE. The person you want to talk with must be logged into skype. Then you can call his skype id and you are ready to talk for free.
There are many other add-on features for skype that allows yuou to use your webcam to see who you are talking with. And many, many more.
