PNC BACKS PPP in GUYANA's DEVELOPMENT
In a schocking turn of events sources claimed the opposition party the PNC in Guyana is backing the broad base PPP government in putting Guyana first to allow for development and progress in the country. Guyana a beautiful, resource rich country on the northern tip of South America has for over ten years now been made ungovernable by the PNC and its supporters. The reason for regular demonstration, burning of buildings and killings of wealthy business owners was done in an effort to wrest power from the ruling government, but it has failed so far and western governments has insisted that democracy must be fostered if support for Guyana's fragile economy will continue.
Polls and some sources within the PNC has claimed the ruling PPP is on course for another landslide election victory. In a strange turn of events the PNC has decided to create an atmosphere for investors to come into Guyana with the hope the benefits of much needed investments will spin off to its supporters. Law and order are now being demanded by the opposition.
An official source claimed that President Bharrat Jagdeo is estatic about the olive branch held out by the PNC leader and promises to work closely with the 57 year old Robert Corbin, in order to catapult Guyana to the status of a developed country. In a close door session with the President Mr. Corbin says he hopes Guyana will change its status and becomes one of the richest country in the Caribbean and the western hemisphere generally. President Jagdeo says he and the broad base PPP government will forever be indebted to Mr. Corbin for his magnanimous and bold offer in putting the Guyanese people first and burying years of partisan politics.
Mr. Corbin has since received fierce criticism from a few of his supporters who has also threatened to wrest power from him. He however has declared Guyana needs a chance to move forward economically and politically. He adds he intends to collaborate with President Jagdeo to root out crime especially the criminals being branded "freedom fighters" who dwells in the Buxton backlands.
Guyanese everywhere are celebrating this turn of events.
